In Smart Detection mode, the camera uses IR and white LED light as the perfect combination to avoid disturbing your neighbors while detecting a possible intrusion. You get a black and white image when nothing is going on, and then the camera immediately turns on the white LEDs and gives you a color image at night when an intruder is detected! The maximum range of vision in complete darkness is 20 meters.
