The Homematic IP smoke alarm uses state-of-the-art sensor technology to detect dangerous smoke at an early stage and triggers an alarm in the entire smart home system. Thanks to smart networking and acoustic and visual signals, the smoke alarm provides optimum protection - at all times.

Installation

Installation of the Homematic IP smoke alarm device is quick and easy. The battery operation with a permanently installed battery, which has a service life of 10 years, enables flexible and safe installation in almost any desired location - simply and conveniently using the installation material supplied.

Setting

Within the free Homematic IP app, the smoke alarm device of the new generation (HmIP-SWSD-2) can be assigned to up to eight different groups and thus be used even more specifically. If no groups are assigned, all Homematic IP smoke alarm devices are automatically networked with each other.

With the integrated LED emergency lighting, the smoke alarm devices illuminate the escape route even in the event of a power failure and provide important orientation in an emergency. The smoke alarm can also be used as a siren to signal an attempted break-in, for example.

Smart highlight

The Homematic IP smoke alarm works according to the optical scattered light principle and is therefore particularly reliable and fail-safe. The automatic soiling compensation recognises soiling, such as house dust, and adjusts the sensitivity of the sensors to ensure reliable smoke detection at all times.

Tip

All important information about the smoke alarm device can be easily viewed in the free Homematic IP app. There you will find data such as the operating time, number and date of function tests and alarms or even the degree of soiling of the sensor.
