Homematic IP Wired access point #152465A0
The Homematic IP Wired Access Point is the central element of the Homematic IP Wired device series and connects the CCU3 central control unit with the Homematic IP Wired devices. This enables the combination of wireless and wired devices in a smart home installation. In future, this will alternatively be possible via the cloud solution with the Homematic IP Access Point (free app control).
The Homematic IP Wired Access Point provides two independent bus channels, each of which handles the communication and power supply for connected wired components. The Wired Access Point enables almost any bus topology to be set up, with the ring topology providing even greater reliability.
Neighbouring Homematic IP Wired DIN rail devices are conveniently wired using the supplied bus connection cable via a MOLEX Ultra-Fit connector. Homematic IP Wired flush-mounted modules can be used for the bus connection outside the electrical distribution board and can be connected to the Wired Access Point via terminal connections.
Thanks to the large, illuminated display and the device buttons, commissioning can be carried out directly on the device - even without an Internet connection. The Homematic IP Wired devices are therefore ideal for commissioning directly on site. The standby energy consumption of the Homematic IP Wired Access Point is less than 1.4 watts.

Product features
1. forms the central element of the Homematic IP Wired device series.
2. the Wired system can be controlled via the CCU3 smart home control centre, via many partner solutions and in future via the Homematic IP Access Point. This enables, among other things, the combination of wireless and wired Homematic IP devices.
3. provides two independent bus outputs for the power supply and communication of connected Homematic IP Wired devices and enables almost any bus topology. 64 devices can be connected to each bus output and, depending on the topology, up to 128 devices can be connected to one Wired Access Point.
4. increased reliability when setting up a ring topology - if the line is interrupted at one point in the ring, the ring topology automatically switches to two bus strands so that the devices remain in operation.
5. easy installation thanks to MOLEX Ultra-Fit connectors and large, illuminated LC display; commissioning possible directly on the device even without an internet connection.
