Compact room control with high functional density
With the CX50, Zennio expands its touch panel range with a 5 inch KNX panel designed for room control. The device is equally relevant for residential projects and functional buildings, as it brings operation, sensing and visual integration together in one compact unit. The panel can be installed horizontally or vertically, making it easy to align with different room concepts and architectural requirements.
In day to day use, the CX50 does far more than serve as a conventional wall control point. It manages lighting, blinds, climate, scenes and other room functions through a clear and well structured user interface. Up to 96 functions can be organised across freely configurable pages. The graphical interface has a modern appearance, supports both light and dark mode, and can be customised with coloured icons as well as project specific designs. This allows the panel to fit naturally into a project from both a technical and a visual perspective.
For KNX integrators and planners, the compact concentration of functions is a clear advantage. Temperature, humidity and proximity sensors are already built into the device. In addition, there are 4 analogue or digital inputs for components such as temperature probes, motion detectors or binary contacts. Two independent thermostats are also included. This reduces the need for extra devices in the room and creates a central, clearly accessible control layer.
A further strength becomes apparent during installation. The CX50 is powered exclusively via the KNX bus. No separate power supply is required. This simplifies planning, reduces installation effort and creates more flexibility wherever a clean and efficient integration is needed. KNX Secure is also built in, making the panel a suitable choice for projects with higher requirements for secure communication in building automation.
Refined design, flexible mounting and clean integration
The operating concept also provides the flexibility needed for very different types of project. In hierarchical navigation, up to 12 pages with 8 control elements per page are available. A tab based navigation concept is also planned. This makes it possible to structure the operating logic according to the application in a way that is clear, quick to understand and comfortable to use in everyday operation. For building owners, that means intuitive control. For integrators, it offers more freedom when organising functions.
From a design perspective, Zennio has opted for a restrained and high quality appearance. The CX50 is available in Anthracite, Silver, Mocha, Champagne and White. The glass surface with its slim frame gives the panel a precise and understated presence. This is especially relevant in spaces where the control point should not read as a purely technical component, but as a natural part of the interior design.
Its broad installation compatibility is another practical benefit. The panel is suitable for European, Swiss, Italian, Australian and American back boxes. This means the CX50 can be integrated into a wide range of project environments and fits just as well in new builds as in demanding refurbishment projects.
With the CX50, Zennio brings to market a KNX touch panel that meets current expectations for modern room control with precision. A 5 inch display, flexible orientation, integrated sensing, bus powered operation and KNX Secure make it a strong solution for projects where functionality, ease of use and visual quality all need to work together.
